Surfaces we clean
How John does it
Tarmac and resin-bound surfaces are cleaned at lower pressure so the surface isn't stripped. Block paving joints are refilled with kiln-dried sand after cleaning, because the clean washes old sand out.
What cleaning can't do
We clear weeds from the surface and joints, but we can't stop them returning — new seeds settle in the gaps over time, carried by wind and birds. Re-sanding firms up the joints but won't stop weeds returning. Oil and rust stains can be faded but not always fully removed.

What customers say
Common questions
How much does driveway cleaning cost?
Driveway cleaning starts from £149 for a Standard deep clean, or £219 for Premium, which adds root treatment, weed removal and fresh kiln-dried sand on block paving. Travel and parking are included.
Will weeds grow back after cleaning?
Yes. We clear weeds from the surface and joints, but cleaning can't stop them returning, as new seeds settle in the gaps over time. On block paving, sealing makes it much harder for weeds to root between the blocks. For other ways to prevent weeds, we recommend asking your local garden centre or DIY store.
Can you remove oil stains from my driveway?
Oil stains can usually be faded a lot with treatment, but not always removed completely, especially old ones that have soaked in. John will tell you what to expect from your photos before you book.
Will pressure washing damage my block paving?
Cleaning washes old sand out of the joints, so block paving is re-sanded afterwards with kiln-dried sand to keep the blocks firm. The pressure is adjusted to suit the surface.
Should I seal my block paving after cleaning?
It's worth it if you want it to stay cleaner for longer. Sealing locks the joint sand, protects against stains and makes it harder for weeds and moss to take hold.
