Meet John, Your Local Exterior Cleaner in Acton W3
I'm John Walsh, and I started URBNX Services in Acton in February 2026. I do every job myself, so the person who quotes is the person who turns up.
Before URBNX, I spent over 10 years working in professional sports turf management as a groundsman. That's where I learned how different surfaces behave: which ones can take pressure, which ones can't, how moss, algae and lichen take hold, and how to treat them without harming the plants around them.
I also spent 10 years teaching at a London primary school, which taught me to explain things clearly, turn up when I say I will, and take responsibility for my work.
That's how I approach every patio, path and driveway: the right method for the surface, a fixed price before I start, and before-and-after photos when I'm done.
I'm based in Acton W3 and mainly work across Acton, Ealing and Chiswick, plus Hanwell, Northfields and Pitshanger. I also cover Hammersmith, Shepherd's Bush, Brentford and Park Royal.
THE TIMELINE
RESIDENTIAL ROOTS
Started with residential pressure washing — driveways, patios, and pathways across Ealing and Acton. Built a reputation for doing the job properly, not quickly.
EXPANDING THE TOOLKIT
Added soft washing to the service list. Render, brick — surfaces that need chemical treatment, not just pressure. Using PureSeal professional products, at the right dilution for each surface.
GOING COMMERCIAL
Local businesses started calling. The marquee at The Windmill pub, rooflights at the Shamrock Club and church exteriors in Acton. The work scaled up, the standards stayed the same.
GROUNDCARE & CLUBS
Sports clubs needed specialist cleaning for their Turf Tank robots and Pitchmark machines. A niche nobody else was filling. We filled it — properly.
